Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong skills in Python; knowledge of Rust or Go is a plus.
• Experience with concurrent and parallel programming, under load.
• Solid database experience (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud familiarity.
• Experience with information retrieval or search systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a team; takes ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services.
• Own core indexing components.
• Collaborate with engineers to ship new features.
• Optimize performance and scalability of data pipelines.
• Integrate with third-party data providers via APIs.
• Review code to maintain high quality.
• Participate in agile processes.
