Bachem in Bubendorf near Basel seeks an IT Cloud Engineer to drive secure, scalable cloud operations across production and R&D environments. You will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, IaC solutions, and governance standards.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, IT, engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering in production environments.
• Experience in regulated industries (pharma, biotech, medical devices).
• Strong IaC skills (Terraform) and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of AWS security services, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF; AWS Certification.
• DevOps experience with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, CI/CD, and cloud governance.
• Disaster recovery, business continuity, and hybrid/multi-cloud familiarity.
• Nice-to-have: AWS DevOps/Security certs, AWS Bedrock, NIS2 knowledge; English fluent; German a plus.

Aufgaben

• Manage and maintain cloud operations in line with security, compliance, and policies.
• Design, build, and support CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins.
• Develop and maintain IaC with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Enforce cloud engineering standards via governance and peer reviews.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability for reliability and performance.
• Automate patching, backup validation, and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with application owners, IT teams, and CISO to meet business and regulatory needs.
• Support change management, CAB participation, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and contribute to cloud governance standards and runbooks.
