Job summary

Resource Group is seeking a skilled sheet metal worker to contribute to the modification, production, and installation of sheet metal and milled parts for prototypes and sample builds in an aviation setting.

The role emphasizes reading technical drawings, performing functional tests, and documenting test results with precision, while ensuring safety and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship or vocational training as a sheet metal worker, tinsmith, aircraft mechanic, or similar technical trade.
• Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to perform maintenance, testing, and certification procedures on aircraft structures and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Carry out tinsmith and sheet metal modifications on prototypes according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Produce sheet metal and milled parts, including forming, cutting, and assembling components for prototype and sample installations.
• Perform prototype and sample installations on aircraft structures and systems, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work on aircraft, focusing on sheet metal and structural components.
• Conduct system and certification tests on relevant aircraft structures and assemblies as directed.
• Carry out functional tests, identify faults, perform problem analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Independently record reports, working papers, and test documentation in a clear and traceable manner.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and quality staff to ensure work is completed to required standards and timelines.
