Zusammenfassung

The Space Research and Planetology Division at the University of Bern is seeking an experienced Automation Technician HF/FH to contribute to PLC hardware and software development for an adaptive optics real-time system. You will design electrical concepts, program Beckhoff PLCs with Python test scripts, and assist in hardware integration, testing, and documentation in a collaborative, international team based in Bern.

English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• HF/FH automation technician or equivalent degree.
• Experience in Beckhoff PLC programming and developing test scripts using Python.
• Knowledge of C/C++ development is an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Electrical concept and system definition, including schematic design.
• System and subsystem assembly, cabling and preparation.
• Programming on PLC system (Beckhoff) and interface scripting in Python.
• Hardware integration, testing, verification and validation.
• Creating and maintaining documentation.
