Job summary

ControlTech Engineering AG (CTE) is seeking an Automation System Engineer to join our Liestal team. You will contribute to automation projects across pharmaceutical, biotech and chemical sectors, from concept to commissioning, applying modern control strategies and MES interfaces.

Qualifications

• Completed studies at an FH, HF or university in automation or systems engineering.
• Excellent command of MS Office and IT systems.
• Strong German language skills (written and spoken) and good English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and create functional specifications for control systems and autonomous systems in pharma, chemical and biotech sectors.
• Develop concepts for control, regulation, MES-connected batch apps, visualization, data management and evaluation.
• Develop software for PLC, SCADA or DCS (S7-TIA, Zenon, PCS7, DeltaV, Beckhoff or similar).
• Analyze and optimize production process controls.
• Commission systems and perform tests according to QA guidelines.

Automation System Engineer

Your duties

• Planning and creating functional specifications for control systems and autonomous control systems in an industrial environment in the pharmaceutical, chemical and biotech sectors
• Creation of concepts for control and regulation, batch applications with MES connection, visualisation, data management and system evaluation
• Developing software for PLC, SCADA or DCS (S7-TIA, Zenon, PCS7, DeltaV, Beckhoff or similar)
• Analysis and optimisation of the control of production processes
• Commissioning of systems
• Carrying out and reviewing program tests according to QA guidelines and commissioning
• GMP-compliant documentation of the work performed and summary of any discrepancies

Your profile

• Completed studies at an FH, HF or university (e.g. ETH) in the field of systems engineering (automation) or equivalent training.
• Confident handling of MS Office and IT systems
• Very good written and spoken German and good English skills
• Precise, independent and structured way of working, as well as a solution-oriented approach
• Organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and in a team
• High level of personal responsibility
• Competent and professional appearance
