Job summary

Bracco Suisse S.A. is seeking an Automation Specialist for our Geneva site in Plan-les-Ouates.

You will ensure availability and reliability of computerized production systems, support operations, and drive digitalization projects within a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will manage GMP-compliant automation, administer industrial IT networks, and lead lifecycle management of production equipment systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automation Engineering or Electrical/Electronics field.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs, TIA Portal and SCADA (iFIX/FIX32).
• Familiarity with industrial IT: networks, Windows domains, servers, VMware.
• Rigorous, quality-driven and compliant mindset; proactive and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain computerized systems in GMP-compliant way.
• Administer industrial IT and production networks on site.
• Lifecycle management of production equipment computerized systems.
• Review audit trails and support compliance activities.
• Lead IT, automation and digitalization projects.
• Maintain technical docs and quality procedures for systems and networks.
• Interface with corporate IT, telecom and automation stakeholders.
• Provide expertise on PLCs, servers, vision, printing systems and industrial software.
• Manage maintenance contracts for computerized systems.

Our Geneva manufacturing site operates in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment and is inspected by major regulatory authorities, including the FDA and Swissmedic. The site manufactures a lyophilized contrast agent that is exported to several countries worldwide.

Automation Specialist

Ensure the availability, reliability, performance and compliance of computerized production systems, industrial automation platforms and production networks. As the site’s automation and computerized systems expert, you will provide technical support to operations, lead and contribute to technical improvement projects, and support the continuous development of industrial digitalization solutions within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Your responsibilities

• Manage and maintain computerized systems in accordance with GMP guidelines
• Administer the site’s industrial IT and production networks
• Ensure the administration and lifecycle management of production equipment computerized systems
• Review audit trails and support compliance activities
• Lead and participate in IT, automation and industrial digitalization projects
• Maintain technical documentation and quality procedures related to computerized systems and networks
• Act as the local technical interface with corporate IT, telecom and automation stakeholders
• Provide expertise on PLCs, servers, vision systems, printing systems and industrial software platforms
• Manage maintenance contracts related to computerized systems

Your Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or another highly regulated environment, such as the chemical or microelectronics industry
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, including Siemens S7 PLCs, TIA Portal and SCADA systems (iFIX/FIX32)
• Familiarity with industrial IT infrastructure, including networks, Windows domains, servers and VMware environments
• A rigorous, quality-driven and compliance-oriented mindset
• A proactive attitude, flexibility and strong teamwork skills
• Good command of French and English; Italian is an asset
