Zusammenfassung

CARBAGAS AG, part of the Air Liquide Group, is seeking a service‑oriented ASU Industrial Technician (m/f/d, 100%) for our Wiler bei Utzenstorf plant.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, calibrate instrumentation, and support automation through PLC and DCS diagnostics under engineering supervision. Participation in on‑call rotations and a strong commitment to safety are required to ensure continuous plant reliability.

Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational training (EFZ) as Automatiker, Elektromonteur, Elektroinstallateur, or Netzelektriker.
• Swiss operating electrician authorization (Art. 13 NIV) is highly desired or willingness to obtain it promptly.
• Industrial experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in an industrial setting.
• English is a MUST; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on high-, medium-, and low-voltage electrical systems, motor control centers (MCC), power distribution, and auxiliary plant equipment.
• Instrumentation & Calibration (MSR): Calibrate, inspect, and maintain instrumentation, sensors, control valves, transmitters, and analytical gas measurement systems.
• Automation & Process Control: Diagnostics, fault‑finding, and small software/hardware modifications on PLCs and DCS under guidance of engineering experts.
• Electrical Safety Compliance: Ensure all on‑site installations comply with Swiss electrical regulations (NIV, ESTI).
• Project Support & Revisions: Coordinate on‑site electrical modifications, commissioning of new systems, and major turnaround plant revisions.
• On-Call / Picket Duty: Participate in the local on‑call rotation (approx. 6-8 weeks per year) for emergency electrical troubleshooting.

ASU Industrial Technician (m/f/d, 100%)

Responsibilities

• Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on high-, medium-, and low-voltage electrical systems, motor control centers (MCC), power distribution, and auxiliary plant equipment.
• Instrumentation & Calibration (MSR): Calibrate, inspect, and maintain instrumentation, sensors, control valves, transmitters, and analytical gas measurement systems (analyzing oxygen, nitrogen, and argon purity).
• Automation & Process Control: Perform diagnostics, fault‑finding, and small software/hardware modifications on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) under the guidance of our engineering experts.
• Electrical Safety Compliance: Ensure all on‑site installations comply with Swiss electrical regulations (NIV, ESTI). Participate in periodic internal safety audits and technical inspections.
• Project Support & Revisions: Coordinate on‑site electrical modifications, commissioning of new systems, and collaborate during major turnaround plant revisions.
• On-Call / Picket Duty: Participate in the local on‑call rotation (approx. 6-8 weeks per year) to handle emergency electrical troubleshooting, ensuring continuous customer supply and 24/7 plant reliability.

Are you a match?

• Technical Education: Completed vocational training (EFZ) as an Automatiker, Elektromonteur, Elektroinstallateur, or Netzelektriker (or equivalent technical qualification).
• Electrical License: Swiss operating electrician authorization according to Art. 13 NIV (Betriebselektriker-Bewilligung) is highly desired, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain it promptly.
• Industrial Experience: Proven experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in an industrial setting, ideally in chemical processing, oil & gas, or process automation.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical schematics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and process instrumentation. Experience with PLCs and DCS systems is a strong advantage.
• Languages: English is a MUST. German is a strong PLUS
• Softskills: Self‑reliant, analytical, highly safety‑conscious, resilient, and an effective team communicator.
