Associate Scientist - QC – Laboratory Investigations & Deviations

Are you ready to play a key role in maintaining the highest quality standards in pharmaceutical manufacturing? We are looking for a Temporary Associate Scientist - QC to lead lab investigations and manage minor deviation reports at our Visp site.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

• Contribute directly to patient safety and product quality by ensuring robust resolution of laboratory events and investigations.
• Collaborate closely with laboratory analysts, supervisors, and Quality Assurance (QA) stakeholders across the Visp site.
• Perform root cause analysis and author minor deviation reports, Out of Specification (OOS), and System Suitability Test (SST) failure investigations.
• Retrieve, organize, and review analytical raw data from electronic systems such as LIMS and Chromatographic Data Systems (CDS).
• Ensure analytical raw data corrections strictly follow GMP and data integrity requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive, compliant, and inspection‑ready laboratory documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to lab documentation practices and investigation workflows.

What we are looking for:

• Educational background in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or equivalent relevant laboratory experience.
• Hands‑on experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or chemical manufacturing laboratory environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP principles, data integrity standards, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Proficiency with electronic laboratory systems, particularly LIMS and Chromatographic Data Systems (CDS).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; conversational German skills are highly preferred.
• Outstanding technical writing ability, analytical problem‑solving capabilities, and sharp attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently on tight deadlines while maintaining excellent team communication.
