Job Description

This is a pivotal moment to join the Global Infectious Diseases Team asa prescription antiviral medication continues to achieve record commercial success and transform outcomes for patients at risk of serious CMV infections worldwide. With more than 290,000 patients impacted globally, a prescription antiviral medication has become a cornerstone of CMV prevention in transplant recipients and remains a key brand within the Infectious Diseases portfolio.

As an Associate Director on the Global Commercial Team, you will play a critical role in advancing the global strategy and long‑term success of a prescription antiviral medication, while contributing to strategic priorities across the broader Infectious Diseases organization. You will help shape the brand’s future through innovation, global-to-local strategy, market activation, data‑driven decision‑making, and lifecycle management.

This role requires a commercially grounded global marketer who understands both how global strategies are developed and how they must be translated into meaningful execution across markets. By integrating market realities, customer insights, and cross‑functional perspectives into global decision‑making, you will help accelerate performance and maximize growth across a prescription antiviral medication lifecycle.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Strategy & Marketing Excellence (L3): Help shape and drive execution of the strategic commercial strategy for a prescription antiviral medication, applying L3 marketing capabilities to maximize brand performance and prepare for future lifecycle changes. Develop frameworks and playbooks to accelerate growth and lifecycle management across markets.
  • Global-to-Local Strategy & Market Activation: Serve as a critical bridge between the global team, regional commercial leaders, and priority markets. Translate global strategy into actionable plans while incorporating customer, access, competitive, and operational realities into global decision‑making.
  • Data, Insights & Performance: Partner with cross‑functional colleagues and priority markets to translate complex performance data, customer insights, and market intelligence into actionable recommendations, forecasts, and long‑term growth strategies.
  • Cross‑Functional Commercial Leadership: Lead initiatives across Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, Supply, and other key functions. Influence without direct authority and create alignment across global, regional, and affiliate stakeholders.
  • Innovation & Customer Engagement: Identify and scale innovative approaches to customer engagement, including omnichannel and digital capabilities, that strengthen execution and improve the effectiveness of global brand activities.
  • Supply Chain Stewardship: Partner with Manufacturing and Supply colleagues to support supply‑chain agility and inform critical short‑and long‑term demand, launch, and lifecycle decisions.
  • Global Access & Reimbursement: Partner with the Global Market Access team and key affiliates to inform pricing and access strategy, support upcoming negotiations, and prepare for health authority and reimbursement reviews.
Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Education required bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of combined marketing, sales, or related commercial experience, with a strong focus on hospital‑channel or high‑specialty products (experience in Infectious Diseases and CMV highly preferred)
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills across the Human Health Division and cross‑divisional teams, as well as clear understanding of local market operational realities.
  • Proven ability to work in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders including external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to make strategic choices using fundamental marketing tools (e.g. segmentation, positioning, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics and/or customer and market insights to make business decisions
  • Demonstrates a flexible, growth mindset along with a high degree of integrity and ethics

Preferred:

  • Direct experience with a prescription antiviral medication and other hospital products
  • Strong presentation and engagement skills, including the ability to communicate complex information in a succinct and simplified manner
  • Driven, results oriented thinking and corresponding high level of performance
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage innovation to drive results

Salary Range:

The salary range for this role is

$142,400.00 - $224,100.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

Bonus and Incentives:
