Novartis is seeking an Associate Director in Basel to lead the Extractables & Leachables (E&L) Specialty CH within PAS. You will guide risk assessment and analytical strategies for late-phase assets, including advanced modalities, coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive data and digital initiatives.

You will manage a small team of scientists and E&L experts, ensure regulatory alignment, and engage with DS/DP development and MS&T partners.

Qualifikationen

• PhD or equivalent level in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role with successful team performance.
• Advanced knowledge in Extractables & Leachables and biotechnological CMC.
• Strong leadership and the ability to inspire a scientific team.
• Solid business acumen aligning science with strategy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide expert support to a team of 4+ associates and E&L experts.
• Guide the specialty team in alignment with priorities and strategies.
• Act as SME for E&L and lead initiatives within the wider organization.
• Engage with stakeholders and partners across DS/DP development and MS&T.
• Coordinate end-to-end project support and ensure submission readiness.
• Ensure regulatory compliance per FDA, ICH, USP, ISO guidelines.
