Job summary

Jet Aviation is seeking an Associate Data Engineer to turn complex data into insights and innovative solutions. You will build data pipelines with Microsoft Azure and Fabric, enabling analytics, ML, and enterprise ontology initiatives across the global business.

You will work with data from multiple sources, design scalable data models, and contribute to AI-ready data while ensuring privacy and governance. Strong collaboration with global teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, IT or related field.
• Internships or projects in data engineering, analytics or software development.
• Foundational knowledge of data integration, ETL/ELT, data modeling and cloud platforms.
• Practical SQL skills and familiarity with Python.
• Familiarity with Azure and Fabric; Azure Data Factory, Lakehouse, OneLake are advantages.
• Interest in ontologies, metadata governance and data catalogs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize data pipelines and data products using Azure, Fabric, Data Factory, Lakehouse and OneLake.
• Integrate, transform, and validate data from multiple sources for reporting and ML.
• Support scalable data models and reusable analytical datasets.
• Improve data quality, documentation, metadata, and governance for reliable AI-ready data.
• Contribute to ML solutions including data prep, feature engineering, testing and evaluation.
• Collaborate with teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Monitor and optimize pipelines, notebooks, and analytical workloads.
• Support responsible data and AI, focusing on privacy and security.
• Document solutions and communicate findings for data and AI projects.

Your Role

• Develop and optimize data pipelines and data products using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Lakehouse, and OneLake.

• Support the design of scalable data models and reusable analytical datasets.

• Contribute to machine learning solutions, including data preparation, feature engineering, testing, and model evaluation.
• Support the development of enterprise ontologies by mapping business concepts, relationships, and data sources.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical data solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines, notebooks, and analytical workloads.
• Help implement responsible data and AI solutions, considering privacy, security, and transparency.
• Document solutions, communicate findings, and contribute to data and AI projects and ongoing improvements.

Your Profile

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Initial experience through internships, academic projects, or professional roles in data engineering, analytics, data science, or software development.
• Foundational knowledge of data integration, ETL/ELT, data modeling, data quality, and cloud platforms.
• Practical SQL skills and familiarity with Python or another programming language.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and/or Fabric; experience with Azure Data Factory, Lakehouse, OneLake, Azure Storage, or Synapse Analytics is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning, relational databases, and structured or semi-structured data.
• Interest in data integration via APIs and token authentication, data transformation via python code, data modeling and data governance.
• Interest in ontologies, data governance including metadata management, data catalog, knowledge graphs
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• A customer-focused mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
