Job summary

Bell Food Group in Zell, Lucerne invites you to join a three-year Apprenticeship as a Production Mechanic (EFZ). You will learn how machines are built, serviced and repaired, work hands-on in the workshop by the production lines, and gain responsibility under expert supervision.

You’ll be guided by experienced specialists, benefit from Bell’s apprentice community, and have opportunities to continue within an international environment after studies.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service, repair and maintain modern production facilities.
• Manufacture mechanical components and spare parts from raw materials to finished pieces.
• Work with various tools and machines and learn machining processes.
• Assemble sub-assemblies and plant components and understand how parts fit together.
• Identify faults, diagnose problems and help bring systems back online.
• Work from technical drawings, measure, test and inspect workpieces.
• Assist the technical team on projects and improvements.
• Prioritise health, safety, hygiene and environmental protection.

Then you’ve come to the right place!Bell is one of Switzerland’s leading food brands. At our site in Zell, Lucerne, we process poultry and manufacture a huge variety of products. Behind this are state-of-the-art production facilities, exciting technical processes and people who ensure that everything runs smoothly. And this is exactly where you come in!During your three-year apprenticeship as a production mechanic (EFZ), you’ll learn how individual components are turned into functioning machines, how to solve technical problems and how to keep our equipment running smoothly. You’ll be right at the heart of things, not just on the sidelines: in our workshop, right by the production lines and as part of a team that works together. Experienced specialists will guide you along the way, support you as you take your first steps into working life and give you the opportunity to take on responsibility independently. You’ll also become part of our Bell apprentice community and can shape your professional future together with other apprentices.

We offer 35 vacation days so that you have enough time to recover and are then fit for work and school again.
