UNITED MACHINING seeks an Application Engineer – Customer Technical Support to deliver expert technical application support for CNC/EDM processes, run demonstrations, and perform machine acceptance tests on customer sites and at company facilities. You will train customers and assist Sales with feasibility studies and product selections in a fast-paced environment.

Application Engineer – Customer Technical Support

• Provide technical application support to customers for machine programming, process optimization, technology fine-tuning and machine performance improvement.
• Deliver basic and advanced customer trainings on CNC / EDM applications, both at customer sites and company locations.
• Perform test cuts, machine demonstrations and machine acceptance tests, both at company site and customer site.
• Support Sales teams with feasibility studies, product selection, customer presentations, events and trade fairs.
• Reproduce, analyze and report application issues, creating technical tickets and cooperating with internal teams to define effective solutions.

Your profile

• Technical background in mechanics, electronics, automation or a related industrial field.
• Experience with CNC machines, machining processes, high-precision mechanics or industrial applications.
• Knowledge of EDM technologies, such as Wire EDM or Die-Sinking EDM, is considered a strong advantage, but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of metrology, measuring equipment and CAD/CAM software.
• Availability to travel from Monday to Friday for approximately 60% of working time.
• Strong problem-solving skills, customer orientation and good communication skills.
• German language proficiency is mandatory, a good command of English is required, and knowledge of Italian is considered a plus.
