Job summary

Cybersteel Inc. in Basel is seeking a Pharma Analytical Development professional to join the Analytical Development for Synthetic Molecules team. You will develop robust analytical methods and support API quality assessment using HPLC, GC, and MS techniques.

Requirements include a chemistry/biochemistry degree with pharma experience, strong writing skills, and fluency in English; German is a plus. Standard 40h work week; on-site in Basel with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in natural sciences or a Bachelor in Chemistry/Biochemistry with 2–3 years in pharma.
• Experience with analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, KF, MS) and method development.
• Strong scientific writing and data presentation skills.
• High quality awareness and attention to detail in non-GMP development.
• Proactive, self-motivated with adaptability to new tools in a dynamic team.
• Fluent English; German language skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize analytical methods (HPLC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, KF) for APIs.
• Plan and execute experiments, monitor reactions, and develop methods.
• Collaborate with process development and cross-functional teams to coordinate analytics and samples.
• Work with QC to transfer developed methods smoothly.
• Create analytical procedures and reports for method validation and regulatory filings.
• Apply an innovative mindset and digital tools to improve analytical workflows.
