Job summary

LimmaTech Biologics AG in Schlieren near Zürich is seeking an Analytical Associate (Stability Team) to support vaccine development through analytical method development and characterization of vaccine candidates.

The role focuses on stability/formulation studies, external CMOs coordination, and data/documentation across a multisite team in a GMP-like setting. English communication and hands-on lab work are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master level in a chemistry/biochemistry/biology related field with lab experience.
• Hands-on skills in immunoassays (ELISA) and analytical techniques (HPLC/biomolecule analysis).
• Ability to work independently and in a multicultural team with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform stability, formulation, and compatibility studies.
• Manage external stability studies at CMOs and coordinate timelines.
• Review study results and prepare data for internal and external stakeholders.
• Write and review SOPs, study plans, and analytical reports.
• Analyze biomolecules (glyco-proteins, glyco-lipids, glycans) with state-of-the-art methods (HPLC, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, ELISA, DLS, FFF-MALS).
• Support analytical method development for vaccine candidates produced via E. coli platforms.
• Participate in knowledge transfers to CMOs and maintain lab safety standards.

To strengthen our CMC team, we are currently looking for an:

Analytical Associate (Stability Team) (100%)

to support vaccine development through analytical method development and the characterization of vaccine candidates.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Plan and perform stability, formulation, and compatibility studies.
• Manage external stability studies at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
• Review study results and prepare data for sharing with internal and external stakeholders.
• Write and review internal and external documentation, including SOPs, study plans, and analytical reports.
• Analyze biomolecules such as (glyco-)proteins, (glyco-)lipids and glycans using state-of-the-art analytical methods, including HPLC, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, ELISA, DLS, FFF-MALS, and colorimetric assays.
• Support analytical method development for the characterization and release testing of vaccine candidates manufactured using E. coli-based biotechnological platforms.
• Participate in technology and knowledge transfers to Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
• Maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with applicable safety and operational standards.

What we are looking for

You are a proactive and enthusiastic team player who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, takes ownership of your activities, and is motivated to bring tasks to completion in a laboratory-focused technical role. Ideally, you bring:

• A laboratory technician qualification, BSc, or MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in immunoassays such as ELISA, biochemical assays, and HPLC methods.
• Experience with potency ELISA and cell-based assays is considered an advantage.
• Experience in formulation development for biopharmaceuticals is considered an advantage.
• Experience with glycan analytics is considered an advantage.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multicultural team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
