Role and responsibilities
Join our team to help shape the next generation of Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) systems. You will work hands‑on with high-end instrumentation, collaborate with international researchers, and apply your physics expertise in real-world scenarios.
Your tasks:
- Develop, optimize, and test AMS systems and related equipment
- Calculate and simulate ion optics for particle systems
- Perform on-site commissioning and acceptance testing worldwide
- Train customers on the use of AMS instruments
- Provide technical support
- Represent Ionplus at scientific conferences
- Write scientific publications and technical documentation
Qualifications and Skills
- PhD in Physics, preferably in ion beam or particle physics
- Several years of professional experience, ideally with AMS or ion optics
- Strong communication skills and willingness to travel
- Fluent in English; German is an asset
