Job summary

Lyceum, a Swiss AI startup, is expanding its EU-sovereign inference cloud in Zürich. We are seeking a backend-focused engineer to extend the platform's model serving configurations, API surface, and framework integrations, while ensuring reliability at scale.

You will collaborate with customers and the commercial team to translate feature requests into production-ready designs, improving developer experience from setup to monitoring.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend or infrastructure systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go and Python.
• Hands-on experience with an ML inference serving framework (vLLM, TGI, etc).
• Solid understanding of how AI models are deployed and served in production.
• Experience working with REST/gRPC APIs and designing developer-facing interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop platform features: model serving configurations and API surface.
• Collaborate with customers and the commercial team to translate requests into designs.
• Improve developer experience from initial setup through monitoring and debugging in production.
