About this role

We are seeking talented engineering interns to join our team and to actively contribute to the development of innovative solutions for recycling analytics. The ideal candidate will be highly-motivated, eager to work on an industrial-AI with environmental impact, capable of working autonomously and in small teams, and have a strong desire to solve exciting and challenging applied problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train and deploy state-of-the-art AI models for analyzing materials in recycling streams.
• Design and optimize data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, processing, and storage of large-scale datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business objectives, and translate them into technical solutions within a team.
• Evaluate and experiment with different machine learning techniques to improve model performance and accuracy over time.
• Deploy and maintain AI solutions in production, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cyber security.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI technologies and propose innovative ideas for enhancing recycling analytics.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree (or graduated within the last six months) at a Swiss university.
• Master’s level study (i.e. in robotics, computer science, mechanical engineering, design).
• Experience with AI development tools and workflows.
• Experience with Python.
• Competency with linux-based systems.
