EPAM Systems in Lausanne, Switzerland seeks a Lead Forward-Deployed Engineer (Data Integration) to design AI-native integration solutions for a major European energy trading client, operating in a hybrid environment. You will drive rapid prototyping, data integration, and solution architecture with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 6+ years total experience, 3+ in integration engineering.
• 2+ years in forward-deployed or solution engineering roles.
• Strong proficiency in API integration development.
• Hands-on experience with Fivetran and dbt.
• Experience with Mulesoft APIs.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development or agent-based tooling.
• Demonstrated client-facing technical leadership capability.
• Familiarity with Anthropic Claude or Amazon Bedrock.
• English proficiency at CEFR B2 level.

Responsabilités

• Lead client engagement on high-priority integration challenges.
• Scope AI-assisted integration prototypes.
• Build data integration, ingestion and transformation prototypes using MuleSoft, Fivetran and dbt.
• Define and validate technical feasibility and architecture for innovative integration approaches.
• Lead hardening and transition of prototypes into standard build workflows.
• Act as SME and senior escalation point for data integration technologies.
• Liaise with clients on integration and AI initiatives.
• Contribute reusable integration patterns and components to the AI Solution Engineering practice.
