Job summary

SICPA SA in Switzerland seeks a Data & AI Solution Expert to shape the technical direction of its enterprise Data & AI ecosystem, turning advanced data capabilities into secure, scalable, production-ready solutions.

The role combines architecture with hands-on delivery across Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, Power BI and enterprise AI, collaborating with engineering, security and business teams to move critical data and AI solutions from concept to operation in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Design and deliver enterprise data, analytics or AI solutions.
• Advanced SQL and SQL Server data modeling and DW/Lakehouse design.
• Hands-on Power BI with enterprise deployment and security.
• Experience with modern cloud Data & AI platforms (Microsoft Fabric preferred).
• Experience with Generative AI solutions, RAG and agents.
• Knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD, and automation.
• Knowledge of security and governance within data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define Data & AI solution architecture and technical standards aligned with business priorities, enterprise architecture, security and governance requirements.
• Design and evolve the enterprise data platform on Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server, covering ingestion, Lakehouse and Warehouse layers, data modeling, performance, resilience and lifecycle management.
• Scale trusted analytics through reusable Power BI semantic models, shared KPIs, certified datasets and governed self-service reporting.
• Design and deliver Generative AI applications, RAG solutions and governed data agents using Azure OpenAI and the Microsoft AI ecosystem, from prototype through secure production deployment.
• Contribute to defining and implementing engineering, DevOps, MLOps and LLMOps practices, including Git, CI/CD, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, observability and rollback.
• Embed data governance, security and Responsible AI into solutions through metadata, lineage, data quality, access controls, traceability, evaluation and human oversight.
• Contribute senior technical expertise, mentor engineers, review strategic designs and explain technical options and trade-offs clearly to business and technology stakeholders.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Data & AI Solution Expert to shape the technical direction of our enterprise Data & AI ecosystem and turn advanced data and Generative AI capabilities into secure, scalable and production-ready solutions.

This senior individual-contributor role combines architecture with hands-on delivery across Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, Power BI and enterprise AI. Working with engineering, architecture, security and business teams, you will define reusable standards, guide strategic designs and help move critical data and AI solutions from concept to operation in a regulated environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contribute to defining the Data & AI solution architecture, reference patterns and technical standards aligned with business priorities, enterprise architecture, security and governance requirements.
• Design and evolve the enterprise data platform on Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server, covering ingestion, Lakehouse and Warehouse layers, data modeling, performance, resilience and lifecycle management.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise data, analytics or AI solutions, supported by a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced SQL and Microsoft SQL Server knowledge, with experience in data modeling, query optimization, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse and ETL/ELT architectures.
• Hands-on Power BI expertise, particularly semantic modeling, shared datasets, security and enterprise deployment.
• Practical experience with a modern cloud Data & AI platform; Microsoft Fabric is strongly preferred.
• Experience delivering Generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI or comparable enterprise LLM technologies, with knowledge of RAG, semantic or vector search, grounding, agents and tool calling.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, deployment automation and the operational requirements of MLOps or LLMOps.
• Good understanding of enterprise security, identity, access management, data governance and Responsible AI.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, architecture, governance and business teams, with professional proficiency in English.
