Job summary

ANZEN Engineering is seeking a seasoned Systems Development Engineer to lead the design of cabin air distribution systems for safety-critical aerospace programs. You will define architectures, requirements, and verification plans across ECS and electrical distribution aspects.

Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, software, and safety teams, you will ensure compliance with DO-160/DO-178/DO-254 and ARP4754A, support certification activities, and drive reliability and safety through rigorous

Qualifications

• University degree in aeronautical, mechanical or mechatronics engineering.
• Minimum five years experience in aerospace mechanical systems in development, integration & certification.
• Experience with aircraft ECS, electrical distribution systems, or similar subsystems.
• Experience with systems development engineering and interpreting electrical schematics and system architecture documents.
• Fluent English (C1); German is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety analyses (FMEA, FTA) and reliability engineering.
• Experience with DOORS for requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine system architectures for a cabin air distribution system which includes electrical valves and electrical heaters.
• Define system requirements, interface specifications, and performance criteria.
• Support component selection, qualification, and integration into an aircraft platform.
• Create test plans, procedures, and reports for system-level verification.
• Conduct laboratory and aircraft-level testing to validate functionality, reliability, and safety. Analyze test data and drive corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754A).
• Prepare and review certification documentation and support regulatory authority interactions.
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and safety engineering teams.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, supply chain, and customer support teams.
• Participate in design reviews, hazard analyses, and system safety assessments.
