Zusammenfassung

Besi Switzerland AG in Steinhausen, Switzerland is seeking an Operational Buyer 100% to drive supplier performance and support cross-functional project execution across the product lifecycle.

You will manage prototyping part procurement, negotiate terms, and ensure timely material availability through SAP while coordinating with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure successful NPI implementation and supply chain readiness.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor-level degree in a related field (Engineering/Business) and relevant procurement experience.
• Experience in operational purchasing, procurement, or supply chain in high-tech/manufacturing environments.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with SAP and supplier management.

Aufgaben

• Manage end-to-end procurement for prototyping parts (mechatronic assemblies) and ensure material availability via SAP processes.
• Monitor supplier performance, initiate corrective actions, and support supplier selection and sourcing decisions.
• Manage RFQs, analyze quotations, conduct cost benchmarking, and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers.
• Create and manage purchase orders and contracts, resolve invoice discrepancies, and maintain SCM master data.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain to enable NPI and readiness.
• Identify supply risks and drive continuous improvement across the supplier base.

Your future responsibilities

In this role, you will drive supplier performance, support cross-functional project execution, and ensure supply chain readiness throughout the product lifecycle.

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for prototyping parts (mechatronic assemblies), ensuring timely material availability through efficient SAP processes
• Monitor supplier performance, initiate corrective actions, and support supplier selection and sourcing decisions
• Manage RFQs, analyze quotations, conduct cost benchmarking, and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers
• Create and manage purchase orders and contracts, resolve invoice discrepancies, and maintain accurate SCM master data
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful NPI implementation and supply chain readiness
• Identify supply risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supplier base

You are a proactive, analytical, and a hands-on professional who enjoys working in a dynamic and international environment.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience in operational Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management within a high-tech or manufacturing environment
• Strong negotiation skills and experience working with SAP
• Proven ability to build and develop supplier relationships while driving performance improvements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in English is essential; German is a plus
