Job summary

ABB Schweiz sucht eine(n) Service Team Leader zur Bereitstellung von Hardware-Support für UPS- und PCS-Produkte. Sie unterstützen interne und externe Kunden über Tickets, Telefon oder E-Mail und tragen zur Kundenzufriedenheit durch schnelle, kostenbewusste Services bei.

Sie analysieren komplexe Systeme, reisen gelegentlich zu anspruchsvollen Installationen, arbeiten eng mit Qualität und F&E zusammen und schulen lokale Teams. Reisebereitschaft bis ca. 15% ist vorgesehen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-/Diplomabschluss in Elektrotechnik oder äquivalent
• 2–5 Jahre Erfahrung in Inbetriebnahme, After-Sales-Support und Diagnose von UPS/PCS oder Energiespeicherlngsprojekten
• Erfahrung in der Inbetriebnahme und Fehlersuche von kritischer Infrastruktur (Datenzentren, Industrieanlagen) von Vorteil
• Gute Englischkenntnisse (B2) in Wort & Schrift; Italienisch/Spanisch sind vorteilhaft
• Bereitschaft zu Reisen bis ca. 15%

Responsibilities

• Hardware-Support für ABB UPS/PCS per Ticketing-System, Telefon oder E-Mail, inkl. Begleitung von Partnern & Tochtergesellschaften (24/7 Diagnostic Centre Rotation)
• Durchführen komplexer Systemanalysen für UPS/PCS und Dokumentation der Ergebnisse
• Gelegentliche Reisen zu Kunden, Partnern & ABB-Tochtergesellschaften für Installationen, Audits & Schulungen
• Zusammenarbeit mit Qualität & F&E, um Produktprobleme zu identifizieren & Verbesserungen voranzutreiben

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide technical assistance to internal and external customers and ensure timely and cost-effective support in accordance with guidelines. Each day, you will contribute to customer satisfaction by executing support work according to customer expectations.

You will also showcase your skill in customer service by ensuring customer retention through delivering high-quality customer experience.

The Work Model For The Role Is

You will be mainly responsible for:

• Providing hardware support for ABB UPS (Uninterruptible Power Source) and PCS (Power Conditioning) products via our ticketing system, phone, or email, including supporting partners and subsidiaries through the 24/7 Diagnostic Centre rotation.
• Performing complex system analysis for ABB UPS and PCS products and documenting your findings for relevant stakeholders.
• Occasionally traveling to support customers, partners, and ABB subsidiaries with complex installations (such as large data centers), auditing service operations, and developing the competencies of local teams. As well as providing technical training on UPS and PCS products for customers and service engineers as required.
• Interacting with other departments, such as Quality and R&D, to address product issues and drive continuous product improvement.

Qualifications For The Role

• A Bachelor's degree, Diploma, or higher academic qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 2 – 5 years of hands-on experience in commissioning, after-sales technical support, and advanced diagnostics of UPS, PCS, or energy storage solutions are beneficial.
• Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting mission-critical applications such as data centers, high-volume industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure installations would be a plus.
• Proficiency in both verbal and written English communication (B2 level or higher). Knowledge of Italian or Spanish would be considered a strong asset.
• The ability to write clear and concise technical documents, reports, and field support procedures.
• A good working knowledge of the MS Office package.
• A willingness to engage directly with clients and teams worldwide, with a travel commitment of up to 15%.
