UBS, a leading global wealth manager and universal bank headquartered in Zurich, invites you to an in-house legal internship in our Group Legal function in Zurich. You will learn how legal advice shapes business decisions and supports strategic initiatives in a fast-paced financial environment.

The paid three-month program starts July 2027. You will have mentors, exposure to senior team members, and opportunities to develop new skills while engaging with day-to-day operations and diverse clients.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or master's degree in law and graduated within the last twelve months.
• Competitive minimum GPA 4.5 on Swiss grading system.
• Demonstrated use of AI to improve outcomes and efficiency.
• Excellent written and spoken English and German.

Your role

You'll

• gain first-hand insight into how an in-house legal team supports internal clients, manages legal risk and contributes to strategic initiatives, including the responsible use of technology and AI in legal work
• assist in analyzing legal matters across a wide range of practice areas such as banking regulation, financial services, commercial contracts, technology and governance
• conduct legal research and support the preparation of legal memoranda, contractual documentation and general legal advice for business stakeholders

Your team

You’ll be working within the Group Legal function in Zurich. We provide high quality legal advice to internal clients across the bank and support strategic, regulatory and technology-driven initiatives. We work closely with our business partners to help navigate complex legal and regulatory environments, managing legal risks to enable sustainable business growth. Unlike a traditional legal internship, this role gives insight into how legal advice is embedded in day-to-day business decisions within a global financial institution.

Your expertise

• holds a bachelor's or master's degree in law and has graduated within the last twelve months (or has completed at least four semesters of a bachelor's degree)
• has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
• can demonstrate how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency
• has excellent written and spoken English and German
• is hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines

Your program

This paid internship will last three months. You'll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You'll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You'll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams. You'll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way.
