Introduction to Human Sexuality

Compensation

Marker-Grader positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds.

· Master’s Degree Complete ($32.15/hour) - Paid to employees who have completed a master’s degree. (Rate effective January 1, 2023)

· Undergraduate Degree Complete ($27.71/hour) Paid to employees who have completed a four-year honours degree or a three-year pass degree. (Rate effective January 1, 2023)

· Third Year Complete ($20.46/hour) - Paid to employees who have completed the third year of an undergraduate honours degree. (Rate effective January 1, 2023)

· Second Year Complete ($17.99/hour) Paid to employees who have completed the second year of an undergraduate degree. (Rate effective January 1, 2023)

· First Year Complete ($16.97/hour) Paid to employees who have completed the first year of an undergraduate honours degree. (Rate effective January 1, 2023)

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.
The marker-grader is expected to mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams and must be prepared to provide written feedback to students that will clearly identify the basis of the grade assigned; whether it is due to substantive content, or to written communications, including spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization of the submission.
The marker-grader may be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course, or enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences or related discipline.

  • For Brock undergraduate applicants, the incumbent must be in fourth year (honors) and have completed this course successfully.

  • Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset

  • Completion of this course within the last three years is an asset.

  • The successful applicant must have effective communication skills including the ability to provide constructive feedback and be able to meet appropriate deadlines.

  • Experience or training with synchronous and asynchronous course support.

  • Proficiency with online delivery tools (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams, Brightspace).

  • Available online or in person to provide feedback.
