About the job
This position is needed to join our Enterprise Application Development and Operations team as lead application Engineer. As a lead application engineer, this role is expected to architect, design, develop, configure, test and support the Zuora applications involving Billing, AR and Revenue systems that support all the key business processes involving Finance, quote, Billing, AR, Revenue, & Accounting teams. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, have a solid analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal communications, diligent time management skills, be team-oriented and have a strong work ethic. Lastly you work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints.
This role is expected to be an SME in Zuora Subscriptions, Billing, AR, Zuora Revenue, product and pricing config, and Cash application processes integrated with multiple upstream usage systems and downstream systems. Able to understand and manage Twilio’s entire Q2C landscape in partnership with the Global Accounting and billing teams to drive system integration, reporting, automations and innovation. You will gather requirements, plan, architect, design, configure, develop and test the billing, cash and revenue processes in Zuora. You need to have an end- end understanding of Twilio’s multiple billings platforms and build scalable systems for Acquisitions, Work on enhancements and key compliance related projects.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Architect, Design and develop platform/product extensions, as per Zuora SAAS delivery methodology, that meets the additional functionality specified by the Business team.
Conduct design workshops, build proof of concepts, prototype of a working model for the effective design sign-off from the business
Learn the skills required to translate business problems into technical solutions as per Zuora Billing and Revenue product roadmap.
Partner with process owners to define and benchmark operational KPI and to develop/deliver KPI dashboards and reports
Plan, Design, develop, test and deploy Integrations involving systems like Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue, Highradius, Monkey, Salesforce CRM and CPQ, Oracle Cloud for accounting, etc
Develop and deliver cost effective workflows per business requirements - to create journals, invoke SaaS APIs, to upload monthly usage billing, create reports for critical month end processes
Use developer tools and events for performing data loads and amendments
Configure and develop payment integrations to invoke APIs and create payments with external banks, payment platforms.
Manage KLO, upgrades, stories in sprint delivery
Mentor and lead junior consultants in the team to enable them to make project deliverables.
Provide support to the business team with the adoption approach around CPQ, QTC process
Develops and executes system conversion and implementations.

Required:
Strong knowledge of Customer master data management, Product and pricing configuration and integrations with multiple external systems for creating the data in Zuora billing and Revenue.
Strong knowledge of Zuora subscriptions, billing, product and pricing management, Zuora revenue (ASC 606).
Must have knowledge on integrations around Zuora with Salesforce, Oracle ERP, Banks, Payment Gateways, and Avalara tax.
Good understanding of the Zuora platform, objects, Custom events and Zuora workflows.
Knowledge on developing and executing system conversion and implementations.
Good understanding of Customer aging, AR to GL reconciliation and month end processes
Should have a good knowledge of change management, Agile methodologies.

This role will be remote and based in Canada.
Travel

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
Based in British Columbia. : CAD 107,000 - CAD 134,000.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
