About the job

This position is needed to join our Enterprise Application Development and Operations team as a lead Application Engineer. You will architect, design, develop, configure, test, and support Zuora applications involving Billing, AR, and Revenue systems supporting Finance, Quote, Billing, AR, Revenue, and Accounting teams. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a solid analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, diligent time management, team-oriented, and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.

This role requires expertise in Zuora Subscriptions, Billing, AR, Zuora Revenue, product and pricing configuration, and Cash application processes, integrated with multiple upstream and downstream systems. You will manage Twilio’s Q2C landscape in partnership with global teams, driving system integration, reporting, automation, and innovation. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, designing, configuring, developing, and testing billing, cash, and revenue processes in Zuora, with an understanding of multiple billing platforms, and building scalable systems for acquisitions, enhancements, and compliance projects.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Architect, design, and develop platform/product extensions following Zuora SAAS delivery methodology.
• Conduct design workshops, build proof of concepts, and prototypes for business approval.
• Translate business problems into technical solutions aligned with Zuora product roadmaps.
• Partner with process owners to define, benchmark, and develop KPI dashboards and reports.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy integrations with systems like Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue, Highradius, Monkey, Salesforce CRM & CPQ, Oracle Cloud, etc.
• Create workflows for journals, API invocations, usage billing uploads, and month-end reports.
• Perform data loads and amendments using developer tools and events.
• Configure and develop payment integrations with external banks and payment platforms.
• Manage KLOs, upgrades, and sprint stories.
• Mentor and lead junior team members.
• Support business adoption of CPQ and QTC processes.
• Develop and execute system conversions and implementations.

Required:

• Strong knowledge of customer master data management, product and pricing configuration, and integrations with external systems for Zuora billing and revenue.
• Expertise in Zuora subscriptions, billing, product & pricing management, and Zuora revenue (ASC 606).
• Knowledge of integrations with Salesforce, Oracle ERP, banks, payment gateways, and Avalara tax.
• Understanding of Zuora platform objects, custom events, and workflows.
• Experience in system conversions and implementations.
• Good understanding of AR to GL reconciliation, customer aging, and month-end processes.
• Knowledge of change management and Agile methodologies.
