Job summary

Axxess Industries in Kelowna, BC is seeking an Integration & Commissioning Technician to support deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of C4/Axxess Zigbee networks and related control products. The role blends hands-on technical work with customer interaction, documentation, and commissioning support for on-site installations.

The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, excellent technical communication, and experience documenting workflows.

Qualifications

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent technical communication, both written and verbal.
Experience with documenting workflows or system behaviors.
Comfort speaking with customers over the phone.
Ability to read technical documents and wiring diagrams.
Familiarity with Windows and embedded systems environments.
Able to lift 20+ lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

Prepare on-site servers, templates, and C4 templates prior to commissioning.
Work with installers to commission sites remotely; travel to customer sites as required.
Configure and verify Zigbee devices.
Validate Zigbee mesh performance, device pairing, communication quality, and network stability.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and firmware issues.
Provide Tier customer support via email and phone for commissioning, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Document commissioning progress, device configurations, network setups, and final project completion.
Coordinate with Production when needed to verify radio boards, keypad functionality, or network-enabled hardware.
Complete additional tasks requested by the department or project management.
