YWCA Metro Vancouver is seeking a Property Manager for Tenant Relations to oversee rental units and support tenants in various housing communities. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, along with property management experience. The successful candidate will manage tenant relations, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with agreements. The position offers a supportive work environment with a focus on equity and inclusion.
Office is located at YWCA Semlin Gardens in East Vancouver, but the position will require attendance at multiple housing sites throughout Metro Vancouver. This is not a hybrid position. The Property Manager, Tenant Relations is required to work on site

Job Description
The Property Manager, Tenant Relations is responsible for supporting successful tenancies / program agreements at the YWCA’s long term housing communities, second stage transition houses, and our transitional housing for women in recovery. This position regularly communicates, collaborates and coordinates with other staff to support a strong team culture.
What you’ll be doing :
The first 6 months of this position will specifically be “renting up” a new building site located in Vancouver, BC.
After 6 months, the Property Manager, Tenant Relations role includes managing approximately 170 rental units throughout the Lower Mainland :
Respectful communication with tenants / residents
notices to tenants / residents about building issues that may impact them
responding to tenant / resident emails in a timely manner
sending tenants their new housing charge amounts
responding to tenant / resident complaints in a timely manner
co-facilitating tenant / resident conflict resolution meetings
addressing breaches of tenancy / program agreement in a respectful and timely manner
receiving notices to end tenancy / program agreement
letting residents know when their program agreement is ending
approving program agreement extensions
managing transfer requests
managing parking waitlist
managing evictions including Residential Tenancy Branch applications and hearings
Oversight of the housing charge calculation / income verification process
Supervision of the Rent Calculation Clerk
Backup on-call for Emergencies
Working collaboratively with the other Property Manager, Tenant Relations
Backup for the other Property Manager, Tenant Relations
Other duties as required
What you’ll need :
Licensed Property Manager or previous property management experience and familiarity with the Residential Tenancy Act
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Conflict resolution skills would be an asset
Good organizational and time management skills
Relationship building
Knowledge of trauma informed practices
Team player, but able to work independently
Experience and comfort using the following would be an asset : Arcori, Outlook, One Drive, Sharepoint, Teams, Zoom, Safetyline and ADP Workforce Now
A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.
