YWCA Hamilton is seeking a CAP Coordinator to assist women accessing a vital Out of the Cold program. This role integrates a feminist, anti-racist framework to provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and community advocacy. Ideal candidates will have social service education and a passion for empowering marginalized women. Position Description
Provides support to homeless women accessing Carole Anne's Place, an Out of the Cold program designed to provide a safe, warm, supportive space for women when the shelter beds and overflow beds in the city are full. Using an integrated feminist anti-racist/anti-oppressive and trauma informed perspective, the CAP Coordinator will assess the needs of women and offer supports that include crisis intervention, supportive counseling,
referrals, advocacy, brief goal planning, and programming; while ensuring adherence to the YWCA's vision, mission and values.
