Who We're Looking For

We’re seeking an energetic, grounded, and adaptable individual who can lead from the front—whether it’s coordinating a gym session, organizing a team-building game, or offering calm, steady mentorship to a young person in need of guidance.

You might have a background in youth leadership, recreation, sports coaching, camp programming, or active outdoor education—and you’re ready to bring those skills into a unique school environment that blends personal growth with positive challenge.

You’re Likely a Great Fit If You Are

  • A natural mentor & role model – You build real, trusting connections with youth and lead with authenticity, encouragement, and consistency.
  • Confident running active, movement-based programming – You can organize gym sessions, team sports, cooperative games, or outdoor adventures that help youth channel their energy in positive, healthy ways.
  • Organized & adaptable – You can pivot when needed, help run smooth programming, and create meaningful engagement through structure and responsiveness.
  • A collaborative problem-solver – You work well with others, but also take initiative and step in when needed.
  • Passionate about youth development & wellness – You see physical activity as a key piece of supporting mental health, confidence, and personal growth.

Bonus: Experience in coaching, camp leadership, outdoor rec, or running group fitness or wellness initiatives is highly valued.

Education Requirement

Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred), ideally in a relevant field such as education, kinesiology, psychology, social work, youth leadership, recreation, or a related area.

The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

This hybrid role blends youth mentorship, program coordination, and active leadership in a student-centered environment. You’ll support students in both structured and spontaneous ways—fostering positive peer relationships, planning hands-on activities, and helping students tap into their strengths, energy, and sense of belonging.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Leading small-group activities & physical wellness sessions – Running gym-based programming, team-building games, or activities that build confidence, collaboration, and well-being.
  • Providing mentorship & building relationships – Being a steady, supportive adult presence for students throughout the day.
  • Helping plan and coordinate weekly field trips & off-site experiences – Organizing meaningful outings that build skills and spark growth.
  • Driving students for pickups, drop-offs, and field trips – A key component of the role that supports real-world learning and inclusion.
  • Supporting experiential learning – Assisting with outdoor education, active projects, and creative student-led experiences.
  • Providing classroom and program support – Contributing to a positive, calm classroom culture and helping with day-to-day routines.
  • Collaborating with staff to enhance programming – Helping ensure that movement, wellness, and leadership are naturally woven into student life.

Why Join Us?

  • Work in a setting that truly changes lives.
  • Access to a gym facility across the street for regular physical programming.
  • Flexible summers – Option to take summers off or work year-round.
  • Competitive salary – $4,000 - $4,650 per month, based on experience.
  • Supportive, close-knit team – We value creativity, collaboration, and shared leadership.

Driver’s License Requirement

Class 5 required, Class 4 preferred (driving is a key aspect of the role for pickups, drop-offs, and field trips).
