Job summary

School District No. 43 (Coquitlam) seeks casual on-call Youth Workers to provide essential support to students and their families. Successful candidates will assist in addressing educational and emotional needs, helping to create an inclusive and supportive environment within the district. Applicants must have a relevant diploma or university coursework in child/youth care or psychology/sociology, and a valid Class 5 B.C Driver's License is mandatory.

YOUTH WORKERS

Casual, On-Call

Coquitlam School District invites applications from individuals for the position of on-call Youth Workers. As the third largest school district in the province, we are located within a 40-minute drive from downtown Vancouver. The district has a population of 34,000 students and approximately 4,400 staff members, including teachers, administrators, managers, and support staff.

Reporting to the administrator or designate, this position provides supplementary support to students and their families regarding educational, social, family, cultural, emotional, and career needs.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a two-year post-secondary diploma in child/youth care from a recognized college or institution, or
  • Two years of university coursework in Psychology or Sociology.

A valid Class 5 B.C Driver’s License is required.

Compensation: $34.28 per hour plus 16% in lieu of benefits.
