Soccer Shots Metro Vancouver offers various programs that run weekdays and weekends throughout the year. Programs currently operate in New Westminster, Ladner/ North Delta, Burnaby, and the Tri-Cities. We are flexible with scheduling based on availability; however, we expect coaches to commit to their assigned seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Greater availability increases opportunities for coaching.

Job Summary

A part-time Youth Soccer Coach at Soccer Shots is responsible for studying the provided curriculum and teaching children each week. Strong time management skills are essential, as coaches must start and finish on time and cover all curriculum content for each session. Maintaining class order is important to facilitate skill demonstration and enhance children's understanding.

Qualifications

• Responsibility: Arrive 15 minutes before each session, lead groups of 7-12 preschool or school-aged children, keep accurate attendance, and communicate effectively with Soccer Shots Directors.
• Professionalism: Maintain a neat appearance in Soccer Shots apparel, be friendly and courteous with daycare staff and directors, respectful to participants, parents, and colleagues, and demonstrate accountability and confidence.
• Enthusiasm: Enjoy interacting with children aged 2-8, connect with them on their level, and make classes engaging and fun. Be outgoing, animated, and willing to be playful with children.
• Experience with Children: Prior experience engaging and interacting with children aged 2-8 is required.
• Soccer Experience: Preferred but not required.
• Additional Requirements: Must have access to a vehicle and be able to pass a criminal background check.
