Youth Recreational & Leisure Activities Counsellor

Position Details:

  • Type: Temporary (Canada Summer Jobs)
  • Location: Toronto, ON
  • Compensation: $17.20/hour
  • Reports to: Program Lead, Learning Academy

Your Impact at CNIB:

  • Support senior staff with bookings, registrations, materials requests, and technology use.
  • Supervise program participants during educational and recreational activities.
  • Assist in meal planning, program planning, participant recruitment, and administrative tasks.
  • Manage Zoom meetings, demonstrate assistive technology, and support program documentation.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary student in a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with the public; strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology for sight loss is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and travel within the region.

Eligibility: Must be between 15-30 years old, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and eligible under Canada Summer Jobs guidelines.
