MU TITLE: Educational Program Associate III
LOCATION: Platte County - Kansas City, MO
The University of Missouri (MU) Office of Extension and Engagement's land-grant mission is to improve lives, communities, and economies through educational strategies across Missouri. Our faculty and staff work with researchers and community leaders to develop programs addressing educational attainment, environmental concerns, community and economic development, global food systems, and health systems. The MU Extension 4-H Center for Youth Development focuses on developing communities of young people in Missouri, emphasizing citizenship, leadership, and life skills. For more about 4-H, visit 4h.missouri.edu.
This position will support 4-H Youth Development programs in the assigned area, under the supervision of the 4-H Youth Development Specialist/Educator.
Supervision is received from the Field Specialist/Educator in 4-H Youth Development. This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.
The University of Missouri, known as Mizzou, is the state's land-grant university, with comprehensive programs attracting over 30,000 students. Located in Columbia, MO, MU has programs across four campuses and in 114 counties and St. Louis city.
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (25 hours/week). Travel and flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, are required.
An associate degree or equivalent education and experience, with at least 6 months of related experience.
Six or more hours in youth development domains; experience with group work involving children; ability to travel and work flexible hours; self-motivation and initiative.
Salary: $17.00 - $20.00/hour
Grade: GGS-007
Title: Educational Program Associate III
This position is not eligible for university benefits. Participation in the Tax Deferred Annuity Plan (403b) is available.
