  • Assist in managing youth in our various Youth Services drop in spaces
  • Planning, developing, coordinating, implementing and supervising Youth Services outreach programs, out trips and events;
  • Working in partnership and collaboration with other Youth Services providers;
  • Understanding a wide variety of youth issues; and
  • Performing other related duties as required.

The preferred candidate will have: the ability to recognize and deal with behavioural and social adjustment issues; considerable knowledge of small group dynamics and leadership related to youth; considerable knowledge of available recreational, social, educational, cultural and vocational opportunities offered through public and private organizations; working knowledge of standard casework techniques and their application to behavioural, social and family problems; past demonstrated experience working with a variety of partner agencies; ability to engage youth in activities; proven ability to generate new ideas and organize special events within a budget.

Required qualifications include: University or college degree in social sciences or a youth-related subject, such as Education or Child and Youth Care, plus a minimum of two years’ experience working with youth, preferably in an outreach capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
