Job summary

Westside Recreation Centre is seeking a Facility Ambassador to deliver friendly, informative tours and engage youth and guests in drop-in activities. You will model professional behavior, respond to inquiries, and help create a welcoming environment throughout the facility.

The role emphasizes strong communication, safety awareness, and the ability to educate youth about programs and volunteer opportunities while maintaining a positive, approachable presence.

Qualifications

• Must have a Vulnerable Sector Search completed within 10 days of start date.
• Must have current CSA Standard Z1210-17 Intermediate First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with youth in the facility.
• Greet and talk to all guests and members of Westside.
• Provide facility information and answer questions or direct customers to the right person.
• Supervise youth patrons to ensure proper conduct and safety.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and maintain professional relations with coworkers.
• Maintain current First Aid, CPR and AED training and respond to emergencies.
• Lead Youth Orientations and Facility Tours for patrons.
• Assist with gym setup for drop-in or rental activities and monitor safety.
