Ranch Ehrlo Society in Saskatchewan seeks a Youth Care Worker to provide care, support, and guidance in a safe, structured living environment. You will engage participants emotionally and physically, modeling positive behaviors and contributing to treatment goals.

The role requires teamwork, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills to connect with individuals and families, while collaborating with clinical staff and supervisors to ensure quality care.

Formación

• Completion of a High school diploma.
• A certificate, diploma, or degree in Child and Youth Care (CYC) or a related field is an asset.
• At least one (1) year of experience working with children, youth, and/or adults with behavioral, cognitive, mental health, or developmental challenges.

Responsabilidades

• Provide compassionate support to individuals with complex needs, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
• Develop and implement engaging activity plans to encourage participation.
• Collaborate with clinical professionals and unit managers to guide treatment plans and goal setting.
• Participate in team meetings, sharing insights to improve care.
• Teach essential life skills like self-care, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and building positive social connections.
• Use behavior management strategies such as conflict resolution, crisis management, and life space interviewing to guide participants.
• Complete documentation and reports with accuracy and clarity, ensuring agency standards are met.
• Perform other related duties as needed to support participants and the team.
• Lead and support new employees, practicum students, and volunteers as directed.
