Job summary

YMCA of Three Rivers in Waterloo Region is seeking a part-time Yoga Instructor to develop and deliver Yoga classes for healthy members and those managing chronic health conditions, in an evening and weekend schedule.

You will join a vibrant team, may travel to different facilities, hold group fitness certifications, and collaborate to support community health. The YMCA offers wellness-focused benefits and a welcoming, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Group Fitness Certification (Aquafit, Yoga, MOSSA certification is an asset).
• Ability to coach diverse group of people of various abilities and fitness levels.
• Personal Trainer Certification is an asset.
• Standard First Aid and CPR-A.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver quality Yoga Classes for healthy members and those with chronic health conditions.
• Support adults in achieving health and fitness goals.
• Travel to different YMCA facilities to connect with other communities.

What you will do…

You will be part of a vibrant team that provides a safe, supportive and motivating environment for adults to achieve their health and fitness goals. You will help to develop and deliver quality Yoga Classes for healthy members and members who may be inactive and/or dealing with chronic health conditions.

You will have an opportunity to travel to different facilities and connect with other communities.

What you will bring…

• Group Fitness Certification (Aquafit, Yoga, MOSSA certification is an asset)
• Ability to coach diverse group of people of various abilities and fitness levels
• Personal Trainer Certification is an asset
• Standard First Aid and CPR-A

A proven track record of interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with staff, volunteers and clients. An acceptable Police Vulnerable Sector Check will also be required upon hire.
