Job summary

The YMCA of Three Rivers – Guelph-Wellington Region is seeking enthusiastic Personal Trainers for the Adult Programs. You will help members on the fitness floor, develop and deliver exercise and education programs, and guide individuals toward healthier, more active lives.

This part-time contract role offers flexible hours including days, evenings and weekends, with training, a free YMCA membership for you and your family, and access to our supportive team focused on wellbeing and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Personal Training Certification.
• Group Fitness Certifications an asset.
• First Aid/CPR-C certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver quality exercise and education programs for healthy members and inactive clients.
• Support members one-on-one or in small groups as a Personal Trainer.
• Work on the fitness floor, clean equipment, book orientations, build member relationships, and provide demos; flexible hours include days, evenings and weekends.

Starting Hourly Pay Rate: $17.60-$37.00 per hour

What you will do…

You will be part of a vibrant team that provides a safe, supportive and motivating environment for adults to achieve their health and wellness goals. You will help to develop and deliver quality exercise and education programs for healthy members and members who may be inactive and/or dealing with chronic health conditions. You will support members one on one or in a small group as a Personal Trainer, prescribing exercise based on individual needs.

As an adult program staff you will be given hours to work on the fitness floor. Some of the responsibilities include cleaning equipment, booking new members orientations, building relationships with members, giving free demos. Working the floor to build your clientele. Flexible hours – days , evenings and weekends required.

What you will bring…

• Personal Training Certification
• Group Fitness Certifications an asset
• First Aid/CPR-C
• A proven track record of interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with employees, volunteers and clients. An acceptable police record check will also be required upon hire.
