Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Yard Hand to support our construction logistics team at the Ville St-Catherine site on the South Shore of Montreal. You will work outdoors with a team on a variety of tasks to support large-scale building and infrastructure projects, from $1.5 million to over $1 billion.

Responsibilities include handling and moving materials, inventory, order fulfillment, and maintaining tools. A high school diploma or DEP/DES, a valid license, and 1–3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or diploma in a related field is required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 1–3 years of experience as a material handler preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift and aerial work platform.
• Good physical condition and strong prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Handle, move, load, and unload products, materials, tools, equipment manually or with devices.
• Count, weigh, sort, inspect, pack, and unpack items.
• Open boxes, fill orders, and participate in inventory.
• Store items for easy access and safety.
• Clear snow from yard and walkways in winter.
• Maintain and repair tools and equipment.

• Clear snow from the yard, walkways, stairs, etc., during the winter season
• Maintain and repair certain tools and equipment

This role could be for you if you have

• A high school diploma (DES) and/or a vocational diploma (DEP) in a related field
• A valid driver’s license
• Between 1 to 3 years of experience as a material handler
• Good physical capabilities
• A strong sense of priorities
• Teamwork skills
• The ability to operate a forklift and an aerial work platform
