Job description

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking dedicated and passionate Yard Workers. In this role, you will be responsible for removing parts from cars in our yard and maintaining excellent customer service for both internal and external customers. Responsibilities:

1. Receive labels from supervisors for parts to be pulled.
2. Pull and retrieve parts from vehicles in the yard.
3. Inspect parts and notify supervisors of any damage.
4. Operate forklifts or order selectors to transport parts within the warehouse.
5. Sort and organize parts on racks, shelves, or bins.
6. Respond promptly to customer counter sales, including receiving orders, pulling products, and loading vehicles.
7. Verify stock availability for inside sales staff.
8. Classify returns based on part condition and prepare inventory adjustment forms.
9. Handle defective parts and process returns to vendors.
10. Sign off on delete tickets with explanations.
11. Load trucks according to delivery schedules and perform final checks.
12. Stage wheel cores for return to remanufacturing.
13. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas.
14. Follow company policies and procedures.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.
16. Operate forklifts or loaders to move cars as needed.
17. Clean debris from cars before processing.
18. Pull batteries for testing and resale, and bring charged batteries to retail areas.
19. Assist loader operators with staging and moving cars.
20. Walk the yard to remove debris from cars.
21. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with EPA and OSHA regulations.
22. Wear all required PPE.
23. Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation:

Pay rate: $17/hr

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Ability to operate a forklift and perform medium physical exertion, including lifting up to 75 pounds frequently.
• Basic math and reading skills for job tasks and paperwork.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to work long hours when necessary.
• Positive, helpful demeanor and commitment to customer service.

Work Environment:

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold and heat, and moderately loud noise levels. Must be able to tolerate high/low temperatures, occasional inclement driving conditions, and heights. No lifting restrictions required.
