Hamilton Building Supply is seeking a Lumber Yard/Warehouse Associate to support its lumber and building materials operation. This full-time on-site role requires forklift experience, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

You will pull products, operate a sit-down rider forklift with certification, load trucks, assist customers with rentals, and help maintain a safe, organized yard and warehouse in varied weather.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Lumber, Building Material, Warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Forklift experience and safety awareness a must.
• Commitment to top-priority customer service.

Responsibilities

• Pull products and prepare for customer pickup.
• Safely operate a sit-down rider forklift with certification.
• Assist in loading/unloading trucks and provide customer service.
• Assist customers renting trucks; explain rental fees and returns.
• Load box trucks and drive as needed.
• Notify Operations Supervisor of yard/warehouse issues.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain cleanliness.
• Follow yard safety guidelines and speed limits.
• Willing to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hamilton Building Supply is seeking a candidate for a Lumber Yard/Warehouse Associate position to support its lumber and building materials operation.

Hamilton Building Supply is a 2021 Lumber and Building Material Dealer of the Year and has been independent for 101 years. HBS is financially strong, and family owned.

Responsibilities

• Pull products and prepare them for customer pickup
• Safely operate a sit-down rider forklift and maintain a valid forklift certification.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks and provide general assistance and customer service.
• Assist customers in renting trucks by explaining rental fees, providing information about rental items, and receiving trucks/items back from customer during return process.
• Load Box Trucks and Drive as needed.
• Notify Operations Supervisor of any issues in the yard or warehouse.
• Operates company equipment safely and maintain cleanliness in the warehouse and yard.
• Follows yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e., speed limits, etc.)
• Willing to work outdoors in variable temperatures and weather conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned.
