Job summary

United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative Limited is seeking a Yard Shipper/Receiver to efficiently process inbound goods, store items, and prepare outbound orders. You will support inventory control, safety standards, and customer service at the UFA location.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma with 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent may be 3-5 years related experience without grade 12 diploma.
• Warehouse/Yard and forklift experience.
• Capable of physical labour; lifting up to 25 kg.
• Basic computer proficiency; may be cross trained on POS system; cash handling an asset.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Must stay current with WHMIS and TDG certifications.
• Flexible to accommodate shift work.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of shipping/receiving/inventory functions; accurate daily completing of receiving, shipping, inventory control and IFS requirements; provide excellent service to customers.
• Perform maintenance on inventory or cycle counts as directed.
• Operate all materials handling equipment; assist in forklift and equipment maintenance.
• Load and unload trucks; follow UFA procedures to ensure products are safely secured.
• Conduct location inventory; maintain yard/warehouse appearance per safety regulations.
• Own the Aisle area to ensure merchandising and inventory standards are met.
• Make deliveries when required.
