Position Summary

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Yard Shipper / Receiver is responsible for efficiently, effectively, and accurately receiving products into the designated UFA location; placing them in appropriate storage locations; picking, packing, and shipping products for outbound orders to customers. Assist in other functions as required. Must adhere to all UFA customer service standards, ensuring members/customers are promptly served, inventory is handled accurately and safely, and equipment is maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of shipping/receiving/inventory functions, ensuring accurate completion of all related tasks and providing excellent customer service.
• Perform inventory maintenance and cycle counts as directed.
• Operate materials handling equipment, including forklift maintenance.
• Load and unload trucks following UFA procedures to ensure safety.
• Conduct inventory in assigned locations, maintain yard and warehouse appearance, and comply with safety regulations.
• Manage the “Own the Aisle” area to maintain merchandising and inventory standards.
• Make deliveries when required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma with 1-2 years of related experience or 3-5 years of relevant experience without diploma.
• Experience with warehouse/yard operations and forklift use.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 25 kg.
• Basic computer skills; experience with POS systems and cash handling is an asset.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Current certifications such as WHMIS and TDG.
• Flexible with shift work.

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring on-site presence and operation of UFA material handling equipment. Successful candidates must pass a drug and alcohol screening.
