Job summary

Jobtailor in Canada is seeking a hands-on Yard and Warehouse Associate to support logistics and operate equipment, handle OCTG, and assist drivers during loading and unloading.

You will track inventory using RFID scanners and Yard Management System, perform blocking, maintain safety, and participate in continuous improvement. This role requires physical stamina and outdoor work in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of manual labour experience handling tubular products preferred; candidates with manual labour experience in an industrial setting and inventory experience will be considered
• Class 5 Driver’s License and clean drivers abstract, an asset
• Forklift and/or Skid steer operation experience and certificate, an asset
• First Aid Certification required (can be trained after hired)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout the day
• Comfortable working outside for long durations in varied weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Support logistics and yard operations through manual labour and movement of pipe and other materials
• Track stock accurately using RFID scanners, handheld devices, tablets, and the Yard Management System
• Work alongside Loader and Pettibone Operators to load and unload OCTG, accessories, and other materials onto trucks
• Use power and manual tools to create blocking on wood lengths between tiers of pipes
• Spot for equipment operators and set up cones to create safe work areas
• Assist truck and delivery drivers with loading and unloading vehicles
• Count, sort, pack, and unpack materials
• Ensure product quality meets defined standards and report deviations
• Meet productivity and efficiency standards
• Use company assets properly and report malfunctioning equipment
• Attend and collaborate in training activities
• Suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activities
• Participate in safety meetings, procedures, programs, and hazard identification
• Perform yard and warehouse cleanup, yard maintenance, administrative duties, and operate a company vehicle as required
