Job summary

Waste Control Service (WCS) in the Metro Vancouver area is seeking a Wash Bay/Yard Labourer to join our Fleet Maintenance Team. This hands-on role keeps fleet vehicles clean and organized while supporting parts, inventory, and basic data entry as needed.

You'll work Tuesday to Saturday with an 11:00 AM start, 5×8 schedule, and a competitive hourly rate of CAD 25.31–28.12. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and a strong work ethic in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable performing physical work in an industrial environment.
• Exposure to noise such as is common in trucking and shop environments.
• Requires outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean fleet vehicles according to schedule, ensuring company standards are met
• Assist Container Maintenance staff with preparing containers for delivery
• Pick up parts and supplies as required
• Assist with inventory tracking and basic data entry when needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash bay, shop areas, and yard
• Support general yard clean-up and housekeeping duties
• Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and properly stored
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
• Other duties as assigned.
