Job summary

Waste Control Service (WCS) is seeking a Wash Bay / Yard Labourer to join our Fleet Maintenance Team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and is open to supporting different areas of the operation as needed.

We offer a Monday to Friday schedule, starting at 7:00 AM, with a 5×8 shift, full-time employment, and a competitive salary range of CAD 25.31–28.12 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable performing physical work in an industrial environment.
• Exposure to noise typical of trucking and shop environments.
• Requires outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean fleet vehicles according to schedule, ensuring company standards are met.
• Assist Container Maintenance staff with preparing containers for delivery.
• Pick up parts and supplies as required.
• Assist with inventory tracking and basic data entry when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash bay, shop areas, and yard.
• Support general yard clean-up and housekeeping duties.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and properly stored.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
