Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Yard Forklift Operator to join our team at the Distribution Centre in Abbotsford, BC. The role requires working in various climate conditions, lifting 30+ pounds repeatedly, and possessing knowledge of FIFO principles and RF scanning equipment.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Operate forklifts safely and adhere to safety practices.
2. Utilize RF processes effectively.
3. Select and prepare orders for shipment accurately, often on the same day.
4. Meet productivity and quality targets.
5. Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
6. Load and unload flatbed and dry van trailers.
7. Receive products from other locations.
8. Coordinate with shippers and fittings pickers for load setup and order picking.
9. Communicate with customers and drivers.
10. Participate in the annual inventory count.
11. Report safety and security issues to supervisors.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment; forklift license preferred.
3. Experience with RF systems is an asset.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Successful candidates will need to pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment physical.
