Job summary

UPS is hiring for a Yard Crew (Part-Time - Permanent) at 12424 Dixie Road, Caledon, ON. You will stack skids, keep trailers clean, and support yard operations in a fast-paced environment.

Pay starts at $18 per hour with union progression to $31.31/hour after 48 months. Benefits begin after 12 months; 2 weeks vacation after one year. Training provided and growth opportunities within a Fortune 100 company.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg) without assistance.
• Full availability to work Monday to Friday.

• No warehouse experience required.

Position Summary:

Yard Crew employees are responsible for stacking skids and maintaining the cleanliness of the inside of UPS trailers and surrounding work areas.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Part-Time - Permanent
• Work Location: 12424 Dixie Road, Caledon ON L7C 2L7
• Workdays: Monday to Friday
• Shift Start: 16:45 PM to 21:00 PM (Flexibility required)
• Shift Duration: 3-5 hours per day (Flexibility required)
• We have multiple shifts available as per below. Start and end times may vary based on work volume.
• NOTE: Must be able to work 25 hours per week

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Adhere to and follow the company-established safety rules and procedures.
• Learn and properly execute company-established package handling methods.
• Stack skids and clean the inside of company trailers.
• Maintain the surrounding work areas.
• Checking every equipment in the yard to verify its content. Includes 5 tones.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) without assistance
• Full availability to work Monday to Friday (all five days of the week).
• Must be able to work 25 hours per week
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles and staying longer than the usual shift hours depending on the operational needs and shipment volume
• Capability to operate machinery related to the position
• No warehouse experience required

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay rate of $18 hourly
• Unionized position with automatic progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement (top rate of $31.31/hr. in 48 months)

Working Conditions:
